Which Way Is Up?
Gravity Is A Wonderful Thing
Whether we are on top of the world, (North Pole) or at the bottom, (South Pole) gravity keeps us from flying off into space.
This raises the question of 'which way is up'?
No matter where we stand on this earth, we look "up" and see the sun, clouds, and stars...
...BUT, are all of us looking "up" from where we are?
So.....where exactly IS "up"?
Looking Toward Heaven
Each of the four guys, reaching "up" from where they are, believe they are looking toward Heaven (if you forgot, it's where God lives).
They all see the same sun and stars, albeit at different times of day, and no matter how hard they look, they don't see Heaven.
Are they wrong? Maybe 3 of the 4 might be?
So.....where exactly IS Heaven?
Well, as Yul Brynner sang in the movie "the King and I", "But...it is a puzzlement".
The Hubble Telescope which can "see" galaxies light years away from us has never detected Heaven.
That ought to raise a couple questions about where Heaven might be.
These holy books:
The Bible - Christianity,
The Qur'an - Islam,
The Gita - Hinduism,
The Guru Granth Sahib - Sikhism,
The Torah - Judaism,
The Tripitaka - Buddhism,...
...all refer to Heaven where God lives and reigns, and where His Angels reside.
Do you think they are all wrong?
Maybe there is another answer. Do you remember when you were a kid and believed in things you couldn't see, like Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, the infallabillity of your parents? Oh yeah.....and God?
Had you considered that when Jesus said you had to enter Heaven as a child, He might be referring to believing in something you could not see?
Which begs some questions:
Perhaps Heaven is not meant to be seen? (until we get there?)
Perhaps it exists in a place we CAN'T see?
Perhaps our brains are not capable of figuring this out?
Perhaps we will only see Heaven as believers in Jesus, AFTER He returns for His "Second Coming"?
YIKES!
